ELIZABETH K. CHEUNG-GAFFNEY is an experienced attorney and conflict resolution professional, having been involved in arbitrations and mediations both internationally and domestically. She is an American Arbitration Association (AAA) arbitrator, appointed to both the Commercial and Consumer Arbitrator panels. Internationally, Ms. Cheung-Gaffney sits on the Shanghai International Arbitration Commission (SHIAC) and China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Mediation Panel. While living abroad, she has done research on international comparative arbitration systems and has been published in NYSBA publications.
Ms. Cheung-Gaffney began her career as a litigator in both private practice and government, litigating disputes involving financial products, commercial contracts, and contract interpretation. Since then, her dispute resolution experience has included work for the international arbitration commission in Shanghai as well as numerous successful mediations in both U.S. federal court and for private parties.
As a dispute resolution professional, Elizabeth is focused on providing for parties an efficient and fair hearing that is focused on the legal issues presented. Elizabeth is fluent in both English and Mandarin.
